Description:

This project is intended to educate the single-use bioprocessing community on the basic concepts involving automation, control, and digital communication, and how they apply to single-use unit operations. The goals are (1) to explain the benefits automation can bring to this industry segment by sharing examples of existing processes or facilities where a high degree of automation, integration, remote control and data exchange/analysis have been deployed and vice versa; and (2) to educate the automation engineer in single-use technology and the single-use experts in automation basics.
